Chateau de Lartigolle Wedding Film
A spring wedding at Lartigolle, an American/German couple, sun & rain & wind and then sun which meant on the day re-planning had to happen but it all worked out beautifully.
The ceremony in the courtyard; two tall trees casting shade (from rain and sun) for the guests; a French German speaking celebrant; pale blue and cream flowers; fluttering leaves; changing light; colour; a neat dark-suited groom and an elegant bride who was accompanied down the aisle by her mother and grandmother.
The German/American families and friends mingled with ease - this was a three day event. Children shot bubbles through nerf guns instead of confetti - the effect was wonderful and it kept the kids amused - I was also amused. A guest sang. Another guest wrote a song. Heart felt and humorous speeches were given at the dinner in the Cave which was decorated with strings of lights and an abundance of flowers, white linen tablecloths and stylish glassware.
I supplied the couple with a 1 minute, 6 minute (as below) and 22 minute film together with a number of screen grabs.
This is what the couple told me and I am hugely touched to receive these words :
‘Hi Fran,
I am writing to you from bed, where M and I just watched all three videos and are now lying here with big grins and soggy pajamas from wiping the tears from our eyes.
There are so many comedic moments. I suspect some were intentional and others weren't. As much as I was tearing up, I was laughing my ass off. Each film is so quotidien but precious at the same time. The effortless nature I admired in your films of other weddings, which drew me to reach out to you months ago, completely came through in ours.
M and I couldn't be happier and we will cherish your work for the rest of our lives. Thank you.’
